Cross-Generational Events

Throughout the year we celebrate several cross-generational events as a congregation. These are a great place to learn together ways we can deepen our discipleship, get to know others in our St. Paul family, and strengthen our connection to each other as the Body of Christ. These events take place in Sandrock Hall and include a time for fellowship, learning activities we participate in together, and a time for caring conversations about faith.

The schedule of Cross-Generational Events for 2009-2010 is during the education hour on the following Sundays:

September 13, 2009: Trash to Treasure

Come be a part of serving our community through our rummage sale.  Get to know others in the congregation as we begin setting up for the annual sale, learn how the items donated help people in the community, and learn how the funds raised share the Gospel through the various outreach projects we support.  Children age 6 and up will be actively involved in this project.  Nursery care will be available for children 5 and under.

November 8, 2009: Celebrating Veterans

January 3, 2010: Epiphany: Experiencing God

On the feast of Epiphany we celebrate Christ being revealed to the world with the visit of the Magi. Come celebrate God’s presence among us through this cross generational event.

March 28, 2010: Holy Week Journey/Palm Sunday

Begin your Holy Week experience with this time to gather and reflect on Christ's sacrifice for us.

May 23, 2010: Celebrating the Church

Celebrate the end of our Sunday School year and celebrate being together as a community of faith! Using the story of Pentecost, we will celebrate our connection to the scriptures as we continue to tell the story of God's work in the world.

Advent Workshop is one of the best cross-generational events of the year. It is traditionally held on the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving. Starting with a potluck meal and fellowship we follow lunch with crafts for all ages. All are welcome and encouraged to join us. Signing up for the workshop is highly encouraged.
