Throughout
the year we celebrate several cross-generational events as a
congregation. These are a great place to learn together ways we can
deepen our discipleship, get to know others in our St. Paul family, and
strengthen our connection to each other as the Body of Christ. These
events take place in Sandrock Hall and include a time for
fellowship, learning activities we participate in together, and a time
for caring conversations about faith.
The schedule of Cross-Generational Events for
2009-2010 is during the education hour on the following Sundays:
September
13, 2009: Trash to Treasure Come
be a part of serving our community through our rummage sale. Get
to know others in the congregation as we begin setting up for the
annual sale, learn how the items donated help people in the community,
and learn how the funds raised share the Gospel through the various
outreach projects we support. Children age 6 and up will be
actively involved in this project. Nursery care will be available
for children 5 and under.November
8, 2009: Celebrating Veterans
January 3, 2010: Epiphany: Experiencing God
On
the feast of Epiphany we celebrate Christ being revealed to the world
with the visit of the Magi. Come celebrate God’s presence among us
through this cross generational event. March 28,
2010: Holy Week Journey/Palm Sunday
Begin your Holy Week experience with this time to
gather and reflect on Christ's sacrifice for us.
May 23, 2010: Celebrating the Church
Celebrate
the end of our Sunday School year and celebrate being together as a
community of faith! Using the story of Pentecost, we will celebrate our
connection to the scriptures as we continue to tell the story of God's
work in the world.
Advent
Workshop
is one of the best cross-generational events of the year. It is
traditionally held on the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving. Starting with a
potluck meal and fellowship we follow lunch with crafts for all ages.
All are welcome and encouraged to join us. Signing up for the workshop
