Akaloo

The Greek word "akolouthein” meaning "to follow" is used in the New Testament more than 90 times!  Jesus calls us not only to listen and to believe, but to follow.

From Mark 1: "As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, 'Follow me and I will make you fish for people.'  Immediately they left their nets and FOLLOWED him."

Akaloo (from Augsburg Fortress Publishers) is educational material that we will be implementing in September for children, youth, and for adults.  As we enter this fall, you are invited to join us on a congregation-wide journey of discipleship.

Visit the Akaloo Website to learn more.

For Children: Akaloo offers weekly Sunday School lessons that use an exciting learner handbook alongside the scriptures.  These lessons are then reinforced through multisensory activities in the classroom, take-home ideas for parents to use, and an interactive website full of games and activities that relate with the Sunday School material.
