Holy Communion

Holy Communion is one of two sacraments in the Lutheran Church. Our Lord Jesus Christ invites us to come to His table to receive the bread and wine in which he is truly present with his body and blood. We receive the gifts he offers: new life, forgiveness of sin, and the gift of eternal life. All are welcome to the table of the Lord, since it is His invitation. We celebrate open communion at St. Paul. You do not have to be a member of this parish to participate in the Lord's Supper.

Holy CommunionHoly Communion is offered every Sunday at one of our two services [Fall through Spring] 9 AM & 11:15 AM. The first and third Sundays Holy Communion is offered at the 11:15 AM service, and Holy Communion is offered at the 9 AM service on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Holy Communion is also offered at both services when we are celebrating a special Holy Day. During the summer, Holy Communion is offered at our 10 AM service. White grape juice is available for those who prefer this instead of wine.

The pastors and Communion Assistants are available and willing to bring Holy Communion to those who are homebound or residing in a nursing home or assisted-living facility. Communion Ministers are trained and commissioned to serve in this important ministry. If you would like to become a Communion Minister, please talk with one of the Pastors.
